TAP Phase II

The TAP Phase II project has commenced and is expected to last around 80 working days and 20 administrative days. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our community infrastructure.

 

Jess Price Park

The development of Jess Price Park is progressing as scheduled and is expected to be completed by mid to late August. We look forward to unveiling this new community space soon.

 

RMS Grant for Sidewalk on Powell

The RMS Grant project for the sidewalk on Powell will be going out to bid next week. This project aims to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility in our town.

 

Upcoming Grant Applications:

  • Housing Needs Assessment: In August, the town will apply for a housing needs assessment through DOLA in partnership with Custer County and Silver Cliff. This assessment will help us understand and address our community's housing needs.

     

  • Affordable Housing Grant: In December, the town will apply for a $1.5 million grant through DOLA's More Housing Now (PROP 123 - Affordable Housing Funds). This grant will fund water and sewer infrastructure in six blocks south of town, supporting our goal of providing affordable housing.

 

Public Meeting on Rezoning

The Planning Commission will hold a public meeting on the 10th at 3 PM to discuss a possible rezoning to multifamily housing. This meeting is part of our efforts to plan for growth, prosperity, and unity in Westcliffe, and to bring more affordable housing options to our community, boosting the local economy.
