The mission of the Westcliffe Town Board is to create an environment which achieves the following:

- A town government that is: Responsive to citizen needs, maintains fiscal integrity, sound, effective management and has a clear Vision for the future
The Town of Westcliffe was incorporated in 1887 as a statutory town and is the county seat. We are located in the Wet Mountain Valley, between the majestic Sangre de Cristo Mountains and the Wet Mountains. The elevation is 7,888 feet and offers many wonderful views. The county has a population of 4,255, Town of Westcliffe's population is 568 and the neighboring Town of Silver Cliff has a population of 587 per the 2010 Census.
